Weld Australia Welding Appreciation for Technical Personnel

Weld Australia has introduced “Welding Appreciation for Technical Personnel”, which provides technical professionals an understanding of some of the significant issues that may arise with welded components. This on-line course is suitable for technical personnel including Designers, Draughtsmen, Production and Workshop Managers, Project Managers, Quality Managers and Engineers.

The Welding Appreciation for Technical Personnel course comprises the following modules:

  • WELDING FUNDAMENTALS – to familiarise with the science, methodology, terminology, and applications of the most commonly used welding and cutting processes.
  • METALLURGY – the basic principles required to understand more advanced metallurgical concepts.
  • NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING – NDT concepts in clear, easy-to-understand language and easily digestible chunks of information.
  • WPS/PQR EXPLAINED – comprehensive overview of these documents.

  • This course is delivered by the following method:

  • Online – Four Modules that need to be completed via the Weld Australia Portal (30 hours);
  • You must be connected to the internet to access online courses. It supports the most recent versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer. Courses can be viewed on desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. However, that a high speed internet connection (i.e. NBN) and large screen offer a better user experience.

    Course Costs:$995 (Members), $1295 AUD (Non-Members), GST included.

    Continuing Professional Development

    A Certificate of Completion will be issued to each delegate providing evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
