Weld Australia Welding Inspector Grade 2

The outcomes of this inspection course meet the Australian metal fabrication industry requirement of having suitably qualified and experienced personnel performing the role of welding inspector for which no National Qualification exists.

The Weld Australia Fabrication Inspector Grade 2 shall possess a general knowledge of welding and inspection application and theory. This course is intended to provide participants with the following skills and knowledge to contribute to industry outcomes:

  • Perform the role of welding inspector IAW AS/NZS 1554.1 and AS/NZS 1554.5.
  • Inspect Pressure Equipment IAW AS 4458 and AS 4037.
  • Supervise the activities of the Fabrication Inspector Grade 1.
  • This course is delivered by the following methods:

  • Online – One Modules that need to be completed via the Weld Australia Portal (6 hours);
  • Distance Learning – Study, Assignments and examinations (20 hours);
  • Face-to-face – Two days of practical and assessment delivered at a Weld Australia approved venue (16 hours).
  • You must be connected to the internet to access online courses. It supports the most recent versions of Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer. Courses can be viewed on desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones. However, that a high speed internet connection (i.e. NBN) and large screen offer a better user experience.

    Course Costs:$2,054.85 (Members), $2,621.35 AUD (Non-Members), GST included. Examinations included in price.
